Jabiru REspec is committed to ensuring the privacy of community members and people who participate in our programs. We safeguard individuals’ privacy by engaging in best practice in the way that we collect, use and store client information.

All dimensions of privacy are respected, including:

  • Privacy of all personal information
  • Privacy of the body
  • Privacy of the home
  • Cultural and religious issues relating to privacy.

Jabiru REspec will comply with the privacy requirements of each program’s Service Agreement. We operate processes for the safe, secure and systematic collection, use and storage of up-to-date client data (in hard copy and /or electronically), including consent to the sharing of information.

At present, Jabiru REspec programs are not required to undertake mandatory reporting on issues such as under-age sexual relations, substance abuse, self harm, and so on. However, Jabiru REspec staff have a ethical and practical obligation to ensure that ALL young people and community members are safe.
